For our print media we chose the color yellow-orange because the color is often eye catching and yellow represents youth and optimism while orange represents precaution. We also decided to make our pictures black and white to address more of a serious emotional route towards our campaign. We decided among a common header font to really connect our work together and so the public would realize they were all part of the same campaign. We also shared the common factor of showing kids to really draw people into the pathos effect.

The design that I did was intended to cause an emotional response from the audience, driving them to action. The image of the teenage girl was chosen in order to better target teen audiences because they are seeing one of their peers in an upsetting situation. Black and white cause a feeling of hopelessness and the coloring of the bruise identifies the problem as abuse. It stands out against the black and white. The font for the title and facts was chosen based on its distressed nature. It gives a feeling, almost like a horror film, that something is wrong. I kept the complementary text of the hotline simple so as to not distract from the title. The yellow-orange coloring of the text was chosen because yellow catches the eye and represents youth (our target audience) and orange is a cautionary color that creates a call to action.

For my print media I choose the color orange-yellow for the reason that like orange pops out and just gives you the feeling of something getting better and yellow because it's like a precaution color. I picked a random font but I chose the one I used because it wasnt basic, or too much it worked out just right, and I really like how it turned out with everything. The placement of the text and pictures just came to me and I had to experiment with it for a little while, and the graphics had to be black and whited and then I changed it to where the bruises were still in color. This print media piece fits into what we're talking about because it lets people know about child abuse, what it can do to kids, and the images show what happens to children and teens.
